After returning to competitive archery post a 25 year break, I found this book to be very helpful. Competitive archery is 90% mental and 10% equipment. Mr. Dorigatti prepares you for building your shot process and also teaches you to be as he terms "proactive". This will help you not only fix problems, it fixes them before they can happen. I am not sure this book would be the best choice for the absolute novice but if you have decided to shoot competitively, I can highly recommend this book.Product details

If you are serious about tournament archery, you need this book. This book contains all those little details that nobody ever talks about. There are probably a thousand books on tuning but this gives you the information to keep you out of trouble and document your tuning process.
I haven't finished the e-book yet but it goes in depth on adjusting and recording everything on your compound bow. I am looking forward to checking all of my settings on my bow.
I have been shooting competitively for several years now and purchased this book to help take up my time while recouping after surgery. Tom lays out all types of useful information and tips that would have saved me lots of time and headaches as well as brought my scores up. Many informative suggestions from bow ownership to proper choices of equipment as well as setup. From how to practice routines with a purpose to tournament preparation and the list goes on and on. Thanks Tom, wish I had found this sooner.
This book is geared more toward the serious, and dedicated archer.
It is not so much about how to shoot a bow, but what to do to make it shoot better and more consistently with a little preparation.
This book helps to prevent a miscue with your equipment and to prepare you for a "what to do now", when such a problem occurs.
The book is sometimes repetitive but the author warns you ahead of time that this is intentional so that his point is driven home.
The book is HUGE and has tons of great information in it.
Tom Dorigatti is an accomplished archer himself and knows of what he writes on paper.
This is one of my more favorite books related to archery!
Received this book for Christmas and have been enjoying reading and learning. So many things in this book that you need to know. If you are into archery you really need to get this book. If you just shoot for fun or are really into competition you are going to really enjoy it. So much information and for the price you will not find a better archery book. Thanks Tom for an awesome archery book. Pete
It's likely that whatever you think this book is, it's more. I've read and profited from Tom's articles in Archery Focus magazine for years, and was a little worried that the book would just be a collection of the articles. It's not it's a lot more. Many of the same subjects are covered but in far more depth than a magazine article. Tom lets us in on the little things that improve scores and usually take an archer many years of competition to learn.
If you shoot competitive archery, you better get this book. Your competition will.

Great book! If you are an archer you must have this book period. No matter your skill level, from back yard shooter to pro you need this book. This book should come from the manufacturers with every new bow purchase. I myself am an avid bow hunter of 28 years, and fairly new target archer and Mr. Dorigatti hits something that applies to me on nearly every page of this book. Much of the time it is like he is talking directly to me through the pages of his book. If you're taking the time to read this review buy the book. I could go on for days but you are wasting time reading my review that could be spent reading this book. Simply put.........click "buy" and prepare to learn.
